Best of Me is based on the true story of a woman who survived attempted murder at the hands of an ex.  In spite of being shot in the neck, enduring a long and painful recovery, and still experiencing the long-term effects of her injuries that will forever be part of her story, she now supports others who are survivors of abusive relationships.
